Initial Appointments
If you are Brand New to our clinic, please choose one of the following appointment types.
Our Initial Appointments will be a bit different and will include a review of your intake form, a discussion about your primary concerns, any assessments your therapists need to perform, a review on any possible risks or precautions, your goals for your treatment and they will guide you through how to get settled on the treatment table. At the end of your treatment, your therapist will give you any necessary home care including stretches and/or strengthening that may help you on your journey. Don't worry, your therapist will do their best to ensure that you receive your whole hands on appointment time. You are encouraged to arrive about 5 minutes early to use the washroom, take a breathe and get acquainted with the clinic!
Registered Massage Therapy
**New Clients for Registered Massage Therapy or Cupping, please book using Initial Appointment section.**
Each treatment is tailored to the individual patient's wants and needs to achieve their desired outcome; whether it's treatment of a specific injury or condition or purely for relaxation.
Therapeutic massage utilizes Swedish massage techniques along with trigger point therapy, deep tissue therapy and fascial release in varying depths of applied pressure to alleviate restrictions, pain and discomfort of the body's soft tissue and joints, to increase circulation and lymphatic flow.
We believe that all therapeutic treatments can be relaxing and all relaxing treatments are therapeutic.
Cupping Massage
**New Clients for Registered Massage Therapy or Cupping, please book using Initial Appointments section.**
Each cupping session incorporates static and dynamic vacuum cupping into a therapeutic massage treatment.
Cupping massage utilizes plastic and medical grade silicone vacuum cups to draw tissue, with varying amounts of suction, up and away from underlaying tissues.
This reverse pressure will help draw blood, oxygen and nutrients directly into that area while drawing stagnant circulation closer to the lymphatic system to more easily be cleaned out of the body.
The suction created, along with movement techniques, helps to break down adhesions and restrictions within tissue or between different layers of tissues.
Indie Head Massage
Eileen and Sophie are NOT taking new clients at this time. Please check back in the new year.
Our Indie Head Massages will promote deep relaxation by soothing your overworked nervous system while improving tissue health, circulation and easing muscle pain.
Your treatment will start with gentle lymphatic drainage to the neck and chest mixed with a gentle scalp massage to invigorate hair follicles and begin to relax any tight tissues in the head, scalp and jaw.
Your therapist will gently introduce warmed coconut oil along the hairline and massage into the hair to further nourish the hair and scalp.
Gentle massage to the face including eyebrows, sinuses, cheeks and jaw muscles will leave you feeling clear, relaxed and refreshed.
Longer treatments allow for additions of facial cupping, Gua Sha, and intraoral massage or stubborn jaw pain.
Hot Stone Massage
Sophie is NOT taking new clients at this time. Please check back in the new year.
During your hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of Basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat.
Stones may be placed along your back, chest, stomach, arms, legs, hands and feet.
Your therapist will integrate these stones into your therapeutic treatment using long strokes or circular movement and may leave stones stationary to work away at the trouble spots.
Hot stone therapy can help treat muscle tension and pain; reduce stress and anxiety; promote sleep and boost immunity.
Reiki Therapy
Sophie is NOT taking new clients at this time. Please check back in the new year.
Reiki is a form of “energy medicine” that has been practiced for around 2500 years and aims to help the flow of Universal Energy or “chi” and to remove blocks in this energy, in a similar way to Traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
Improving the flow of energy in the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed the body’s natural healing processes and reduce other symptoms of illness and pain.
